I have an Alabone toothpick; that has a very tiny chip; on the top of the front scale. Can I fix it (smooth it out) with a Dremel or fine sandpaper; or will that dull the finish. Thanks.

you can do it with sandpaper but it will dull the finish. you can rebuff it easily enough if you have a buffer or a bench grinder (add a buffing wheel in place of the stone)
