This one came in today. Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight in Mystic Green. It's an exclusive from a small shop called Knife Joker. The color really spoke to me...

This is 1 of 3 knives that were seized by Customs and was on appeal by me. They kept the other 2 saying they are "Gravity" knives, but since this one is a true slip-joint they had to release it. It's a big ole' Frost Cutlery folder with NS bolsters and I believe Rosewood covers. The big spear-point blade is what attracted me to this knife, and the whole thing is a very solid piece. There's an etch of a graveyard on the blade, as well as the numbers 131 stamped on the bolster. I got these two in last week but just haven’t had the time to post much, trying to take pics of the big GEC collection I purchased and responding to inquiries.
Two Marbles by Dave Shirley a stag whittler and an English Jack in red bone stag.

Gorgeous bones SSK, love that red. And the stag on the Wharncliffe whittler, mmmmmmmmnnnnnnnn. Congrats, beautiful pair as yours always seem to be. Thanks for the Barlow comments too.

Still hard for me to comprehend why Case and Queen could build such great quality, beautiful knives in that era and then just quit making them only to re-tool and start making lower grade knives. Kills me. Saddens me too. If they kept making stuff like this I doubt they ever would have gone out of business and I would be buying more of them.

That is one beautiful Queen Iman. Those burnt bone covers are stunning. Very nice indeed! BTW, the appeal is finished and the big Frost was the only one of 3 they released, they kept 2 others to add to their personal collections!

LOL! Thanks Tom! That knife of mine would certainly keep any unwanted suitors at bay! Don't know exactly what the attraction to big knives for me is, I just know I like BIG, and don't like small. I was asked yesterday if the coffin shape of the knife had anything to do with the graveyard etch on the blade, and unfortunately no paperwork came with the knife so I really don't know if that's the case, but it sure seems logical. Thanks for the condolences too!

Tom! You can purchase Brothers knives from www.aliexpress.com , or www.dhgate.com , both Chinese sites, but reputable, and I believe Amazon sells them also. You might also check SMKW! Good luck!

Thanks buddy! They CLAIM they destroy seized items in an incinerator, but I firmly believe many of them find their way into the personal collections of the Customs agents. It's not like the US where you can purchase lots of seized knives, they don't offer that here. They will argue that seizures are strictly controlled, but that's just more government side-stepping. They confiscate some very beautiful expensive knives, and not even idiots like them would destroy an item like that. As stupid as they are, they're not stupid about what's valuable. You're absolutely right about having a licence to steal, but we should say CROOKS with a licence to steal!
