Like that one Rustle, cool commemorative for sure. Great looking knife. Congrats.
Little mail today with an AAPK shirt and a RR. Picked up the RR for a family get together gift exchange. The price limit was $20. Supposed to be something we love to be given and shared with someone else after drawing names. Hard to find a knife in that price range for me. Not for the RRider. Not my thing, but for the budget it will have to do. The RR has decent bones, good acorn shield, good looks, but no snap, nothing but mushy walk and talk. No half stop, no snap open or closed, just have to move it by yourself. The lock up is good, but no nicks just a lame stud. Little disappointing. Oh well, it will be going to a good home. The AAPK is a good blue, the shirt has no disappointment. The Schrade opened the box and packaging.

It is definitely a beast at 5.88oz. The only others I have that heavy are a Benchmade Contego at 5.92oz and a Kershaw Junkyard Dog at 5.2oz.

5.88 ounces is very beastly. I also find it amusing that Spartan's plague doctor bears a resemblance to a Spyderco Wharncliffe blade.

I got a little behind keeping up on this thread. This is one beautiful knife. I love mosaic pins and those against that white are very classy. The file work is also very nicely done. Nice pick up.

Beautiful knife "Q", love the pins.
Sounds good. Looks nice. Someone should please with the knife I'm sure.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I got this one in the mail yesterday. It had to have a little cleaning. But it is a SCHRADE Cut CO, WALDEN, N.Y. tang stamp two blade Serpentine Jack. It is listed in the Schrade Catalogs as a model 2364-3/4B. They were listed in the catalogs with this tang stamp from 1932 until 1946. It is 3-9/16 inch closed, has a Clip master blade and pen secondary. The clip blade does have wear, but still has wonderful snap. The secondary pen blade has some pitting, and had a broken tip, so I did have to re-tip the blade. The bad news is, it does have black celluloid handles. But so far no signs of any degradation, but I have a special folder I keep all my celluloid handle knives in, but I plan on rotating this one into my EDC lot.

Appreciate it TMK. As much as I love bone, there is also just something attractive to me with the old smooth polished black handles on the older Schrades and Case XX knives.

I'd carry it on occasion, too. The black celluloid looks superb...hope it doesn't do anything nasty.

Very handsome folder you have there Smitty. I too am a fan of shiny black covers, and I would think that if your knife hasn't degraded by now, perhaps it never will. Even if it does, it's sure nice now! Nice save on the broken tip too!Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:48 pm I got this one in the mail yesterday. It had to have a little cleaning. Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Finally got these two in the mail a week or so back. Both are from an AAPK seller.
6318 SS Stockman / Chestnut Bone
Millenium Shield / Nr. 155
&
Camillus Western WTX two blade Jack knife
Both are in near mint condition, No boxes though. The Camillus Western was intended to be an EDC but it's so cool to me to have a Camillus in this condition, it may end up in my little showcase with the 6318.
More pictures in other threads. Thanks for looking friends!

Very nice Color on the 18, and the Camillus looks to be in great shape. They both look good together.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Got this one in yesterday, just now getting around to posting a pic. Got this one from a fellow collector for $20 that I've traded with many times, and couldn't pass it up. A Utica Girl Scout Featherweight with the GS Shield and black composite handles. The blades are like new, fantastic snap and looks to have never been on a stone since the factory edge. The blades and shields do have some tiny scratches & age spots, but I don't believe this has been used. There is a place on the bolster that looks like it could have been dropped, but doesn't bother me. A nice addition to my Scouts family. Here are some pics.
