Those are pretty unique, K7K. I've never stumbled on one like that before. Are they from the 50's or 60's?knife7knut wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 10:22 pm Found this one at the flea market today.Tang has been ground away but the knife hasn't been sharpened other than the factory edge.Likely a second.Pretty sure it is an old Imperial as I have a near identical one that has a shield and green/gold glitter handle inserts. This one has wood grain inserts. For $5 I wasn't about to leave it there.First pic is the newest one and the second is the old one.

Here are the finds of the day at the local flea market. A SOG power-lock of some type that is a little worse for the wear but still serviceable. I am not sure why I took the Buck 110 (it is more like a Buck 55) the guy threw it in with the Kline folder...
so I took it

Hey Chris. Yep, that's Autumn Shadowbone. They had a series of them that seem to be pretty collectable.
I have a few. They also had a Canoe, a Peanut, and a couple others I can't remember from that series..
They were from 2003. Your Coke bottle is a good one to have. Here's a pic of mine.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I picked this one up at a Surplus Store today. It was cheap, like $14.00, but I figured what the hay. Mainly because of the tang stamp and it's another utility knife. It had a preservative grease over it, I don't think it was thick enough to be cosmoline, but was a heavy grease. It's a Italian made Utility or Rope knife with bail. Has black composite handles. It's 3-5/8 inch closed. It has a 2-5/8" Rope Knife and a Canopener. The main blade has a tang stamp of BIANCHI (I have no idea if the same company that also produces holsters) with CAMPOBASSO below the Bianchi. In Italian Campo translates to field, and Basso translates to "Low" So maybe something similar to Lite field knife
I cleaned it up, and had to sharpen the canopener, and main blade. But I figure it will be a good backup campgear knife.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Thanks Marc.
The Army Surplus Store was selling them as Italian Navy Knives, but I see nothing on them to indicate that other than a heavy sheepfoot or rope blade. But it is sturdy, and it was rather tight. After cleaning it I soaked it in warm mineral oil and worked the blades several times before you could open it smoothly. But both blades have tremendous snap. The back of the sheepfoot blade is squared and throws sparks good from a ferro rod.

Good $14 pick-up, I'd say. I've not seen another like it. Did the surplus store have any more? I now want to take the quick trip over to Harry's Army Surplus in the hopes I can find a good score.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:15 pm I picked this one up at a Surplus Store today.
