Weekend Finds
Found these little maidens this past weekend in a couple of different locations we frequent. None are Bone but their prices reflected that. I'm not sure of the handle material on the KA-BAR but the Queen and the Schrade are delrin. All are in really nice condition with lots of blade left and very tight. The Queen has absolutely amazing snap and the blade fit to the backspring is exactly as it should be. The Schrade has two X's stamped over the original tang stamp which is 2 lines, SCHRADE over U.S.A. 34OT. Any one know why the XX's are stamped on there? The KA-BAR is stamped on the main blade only. two lines, KA-BAR over U.S.A. Looks just like the font in this post. Any idea on the year of the KA-BAR I know the Queen is 1983 and the Old Timer is recent as well. Need help on the KA-BAR
Thanks for lookin!

Re: Weekend Finds
I seem to recall reading elsewhere on this board that the "XX" overstamp indicates a factory second. Second of not, it's one-third of a nice trio!

KA-BAR is rough black, circa 1948-1951.

Re: Weekend Finds
Thanks for the info guys. All good stuff to know. Now I just need to work on retaining some of it
I parted ways with a 50 for all three so I feel like I came out alright. They all took a bath in some dish detergent, got blown dry, rubbed down with a little simi-chome on a rag and sharpened. Now they are ready for whatever tomorrow brings.
Thanks again fellows

Great looking trio.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Yep, these are definitely to stick in the RFP and use every chance you get. I’ll put them in the rotation.
