Filet knife
I am in the process of digging all my knives out of the places I have kept them over the years. I have more of an accumulation than I remembered. I bought this knife just before a trip to the American river and later Sacramento River in 02. I have used this knife a few times over the years but it has been packed away in my old backpacking gear for more than a decade. I enjoyed finding it and thought I would share.

Re: Filet knife
No I don;t know the maker. He had a table set up at a small festival in Northern California. I got the impression he was fairly new to the trade but I thought he did good work. I forget the exact price but I think it was around $100. The only mark is etched 1/11/02. I bought the knife late summer of 02. The blade is stainless and sharpens well. I have only used a ceramic rod on it a few times and a leather strop to finish. It filets fish quite well. I haven’t used it in years.

The engine turning on the blade and the sheath look like the work of Ken Richardson. Here is a mini bowie I got of his.

Re: Filet knife
I would hazard to guess Ken Richardson as the maker,
or at least his outfit
