Finding Terry Barrett knife maker....

Post by Fishmagician »

Gentlemen, I have a custom folder made by Terry Barrett of Colorado Springs, Co.
I've owned the knife since the late 70's or early 80's (my memory is now one big picture, all blurred) the knife's spring broke and I'd like to have it fixed. I have been unable to locate Terry Barrett. His former business address is now leased to another bus. and has been for some time. If any of you know where I might find him (if he is still amoung us ) I'd love to find him, or someone who would be able to repair the knife. I know I'll probably loose the handle material, but maybe I can improve on it. ::tu::
Thanks.

Hi, I have read this post a couple of times and was waiting for someone to post more info than I have. According to "Levine's Guide to Knives 5th Edition published in 2001. Terry Cecil Barrett , Shreveport LA worked 1939-1942, Made first two knives at Clarksdale U.S. Army Air Force Base. Charters Towers , Queensland , Australia , he made his first Combat Knife. Colorado Springs CO he worked from 1945-Present Mark: TERRY stamped" I dunno if any of this helps you? ::shrug:: Maybe you can Google or Search Colorado Springs CO area and find him or family? You may have already had this info but I figured I would share the info I have. GOOD LUCK!!!
