John, your selection of today's knives would be quite desirable here as we have a rather gloomy day.

Been packin' this newbie in my watch pocket for the last week or so....I think it has earned a solid place in my EDC rotation.

Bog standard Kutmaster Medium Jack--'70s?
Delrin-handle Kutmasters might be rather ugly, but I like them. They don't have the rapidly increasing secondary market prices of Camillus and Schrade, so they're still affordable. You'll pay a bit more than a shell-handle Imperial, but still, most Delrin knives can be had under $20. Heck, there are new-old-stock 4" Stockmen here on the store for $25. Seems in the past few years, they have discontinued a lot of their own "Catskill" series traditional knives, leaving only white Delrin Mini Trappers. But, most of the Utica-made Kleins are between $20-35, so still VERY affordable. I really like the white bone ones they make for Moore Maker as well. I have the Case Texas Lockhorn clone "Double Lockback Trapper" (Moose) and it's a very nice knife. The Moore Maker Utica Kutmasters are higher fit and finish than the older Delrin Kutmasters I have, and I can buy a Kutmaster-for-Klein hawkbill at virtually any mine/electrical supply store around here.

Great looking 8 OT, another Jeffinn home run.
#%@&*$%^!! that makes me want to cry. He still had so much to give. What a drag, that makes me sick and miss him so much already. The best things in life are done too soon. Thanks for the info, appreciate your help even though it disgusts and depresses me. Thanks again.Jeffinn, Carrmillus, Doc B
It's absolutely terrible when good folks leave the AAPK for whatever reasons. I will & already do, miss them.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Nice pair! I have an imitation ivory-scaled "Utility Jack" Robeson (basically an electrician knife plus punch in a smaller frame) that appears to be the same basic pattern, and I dropped it recently and a chunk fell out of the plastic scale at the rocker pin. My plans for it, whether I do the work or not, is for it to look like an old bone Robeson once done.
I'm a big fan of Rogers bone.

The Medfords are made in Phoenix Arizona by Medford Knife & Tool, as the website says; "Knives and tools for the discerning professional and collector alike. American Made in Phoenix, Arizona". They make folders as strong (and almost as heavy) as a bank vault door

Which comes to the point...you will need to get that bank vault door open to get enough money to buy one
