My new arrival for today was a Case Sod Buster Jr. with crimson peach seed jigged bone covers. Am I becoming a "bonehead" and/or spending a little too much money on my new hobby?

I also made an unboxing video. Until I can figure out that darned embed feature, the link will have to do.

Very nice Dan! ::tu:: Sodbusters are one of my favorite patterns, although, I'm partial to the full-size models, and the covers on yours are stunning. Nothin' wrong with being a "bonehead", and there's no such thing as spending too much on knives! Jus sayin'! LOL! 8)

I've been carrying one off and on since December. For its size, the Sodbuster Jr. really packs a punch. The bone versions are said to be slimmer, but I kinda prefer the fatter handle.

Got these in today.
A Boker Tree Brand 493 Barlow. Excellant Snap on the blades. They have some of their original luster, but are spotted with some small scratches. They don't appear to have any sharpening abuse. Bolsters are tight and handles have no cracks. A nice addition to my Barlow Box.

Also picked up a couple more 2021 Case Copperheads. A 6249CV Deep Red Peachseed Jig Bone, and a 2249 Smooth Black Synthetic handle. Just pulled them out of the box for the pics.

Thanks, Tom! Your axe head (Ox's Head Green, when translated from German) and Smitty's knives are great pieces, too.

This little Case Peanut with smooth synthetic gray covers was delivered to me today. The seller even threw in a Buffalo nickel as a bonus. Adding more Peanuts is definitely a goal of mine.

Dan! The significance of the nickel is an old tradition amongst knife buyers/sellers, it's to ensure the relationship isn't "cut" after the purchase, or something similar to that. Thought you'd like to know! 8)

Crosman Blades (Camillus) 910A Stockman. I like Stockmen that have a serrated blade on board, and locking blade ones are really uncommon. Beat up, so I don't mind carrying it at all. I bought this one mostly for work, hunting, camping, and fishing. This allows me to not have to carry a mid-sized locking one-hand opener AND a Stockman, since the locking blade is on board the Stockman. I carry a fixed blade for the heavier stuff. While well used, it has been taken care of. All the blades are sharp, as is the serrated blade.

KIMG3968.jpg
A pair of used Cold Steel knives. They cost me $52 shipped, and I'm still unsure if I got hosed or not. They were the two I'd been looking at the most, but were both really beat up.

Japan-made Voyager L "Gunsite". It is an official knife, as Cold Steel had a partnership with Gunsite, and had several models engraved with the logo.

At 5 1/8" closed it is not really practical for an EDC, but it is for a work knife. I carry these when a fixed blade on my belt would cause problems (like hanging on the equipment). I have also found tantos are perfect for hard use, which was in part why I got it. I really never got the Buck 110LT or 110LT Slim SElect, but I really like the ergonomics of this knife. It is also really solidly built, and very smooth. Sharp and maintained, but I've really had to work hard straightening out the chipped serrations. I still have a couple more teeth to fix.
KIMG3971.jpg
KIMG3972.jpg

Mini Tufflite. At 3" closed, it is quite small. But, functionally, it is quite large. Feels like a big knife in hand too. It is strong enough to do the big knife stuff. I had to do a lot of work. The edge on it was awful, and the very tip is still bent.

Nice! I have a Stihl version of that which is my go-to axe. The 600 gram head and the longer handle is much better than my other go-to, an Estwing.

Bokers are really fine Barlows. I knew I was really into Barlows when I found a Queen in a junk drawer, and was given the Boker USA 495 (one arm razor) by a buddy of mine. Most of mine, however are Imperials (five!)

And I still haven't gotten around to buying a Copperhead. Unlike last year's Pocket Hunter, it is a very practical knife for EDC. 3 3/4" closed is my target closed size.
