Need info on a 5 blade sowbelly.

A friend of mine has a 2003 Case Bros. 5 blade sowbelly. He said it had a low production #. I didn't know Case made one & neither did he, until he bought an entire collection, this past weekend, of prototype & very low production knives. Did they make one ? If so, What's it worth? Production #'s? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Very Much!

I am not "up" on newer Pennsylvania knives, but I beleive that this knife would be part of the "classic" productions of case. Is that so? If so then a review of class price list may be in order. Again, I may be completely wrong her though.

I know in the past few years Case has made the 5 blade sowbelly in abalone. I don't know any production numbers, maybe e-mailing W.R. Case they might be able to help. Oh, by the way the abalone sowbelly listed for $140.00 at SMKW when they had them in stock.

After I made this post last night, I found one on ebay. 500 were made in 2003 and with a BIN price of $200.00 ,probably not worth that much, but I have a little better idea now. I am relatively new to knife collecting and thought I would put a set together, for starters. I chose the Case Bros. line in Chestnut bone because I liked the shield, the overall appearance of the knives and the history of the Case brothers. Anyway, I bought it for $90.00 and it is now my absolute favorite. Only 4 more to go! Thanks again for your help!
