Opinion Please

Post by rigwelder »

Hello, i've got alot of knives listed on ebay this week. theres one perticular buyer thats high bidder on alot of them. She has 1 feedback and has been a member since 2005. what should i do, let the auctions run and hope she pays for what she wins, delete the bids or what. i've contacted her, but havent gotten any reply. what scares me, is that she can win them, not pay, if i file, then i get numerous negitives. Well this could happen.

Can you block a person from bidding? I don't know............I think you can, I have heard something to that effect.

Or...........................let it ride and re-list if she doesn't pay.

Tough spot your in there rig!

send a message on each knife. if you get no responce, cancel her bids. i have had more non pays in the last three weeks than all of six years on ebay.

I had to do that once. You can go to the ebay HELP; and it tells you exactly how to do it. Cancel all bids and you can end auction early; as long as there are 12 hours before the auction schedule end. You must cancel bids before ending the auction. Block any bidders that you don't want to bid. If you re-list within a certain time period; the is no additional charge; and all your information has been saved. With the bidder not responding to any email; that would bother me to. Good luck.

I didn't see johnnie's post before I replied; you can cancell her bids and block her; without ending early. The high bid will go back; to what it was before she placed a bid.

What is your ebay site; you may have something that I am interested in.

Hello Jarod, I have never purchased a knife on ebay. I have seen some I wanted and bid on them
but did not win. Would I have trouble if I would win. Also I know nothing about pay pal, I would like to pay with a bank purchased money order type check. I don't know what feed back is I probably have "0". So can I even buy on ebay? How does a first time buyer buy on ebay? My computer skills a limited almost to AAPK and e mail. Your post made me think about these questions.

Thanks

eBay and PayPal suck - and a seller can't leave a negative, but a DEADBEAT THIEF CAN. ::disgust:: No real incentive for me to sell seriously on eBay - though I will from time to time, sell a few items. eBay is not seller friendly AT ALL! Sellers seem to have no rights and buyers can force you into serious situations. WITHOUT SELLERS THERE ARE NO BUYERS!

I'd love to see a SELLER BOYCOTT of eBay for just one week!

Man, your situation would make me nervous as H*LL. I think I would block her, but she may just be a lowball bidder.

You can block quite a few bidders - after the damage has been done. I went into eBay without signing in, here is a link to the block bidders page. http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/manage_bidders_ov.html

This is as far as I can go without logging in, but you should be able to see the links for CANCELLING bids and blocking bidders on the Managing bidders and buyers page.

I have a seperate bank account for eBay - they can go ahead and block my account and no harm is done! ::huff::
