"Eye and Jay"............

Post by knife7knut »

For this post I decided to combine two letters as there are not a whole lot of manufacturers whose names start with either letter. I hope that some of the members can come up with some different ones too.Enjoy.
#1 George Ibberson 2 blade folder with plastic cast on handle.Just after I got it the handle cracked when I opened it. Apparently there wasn't enough clearance for the spring to move inside the handle.A little epoxy fixed that.
#2 Champagne knife by Iher of Spain.
#3 A miniature knife by Impco of Japan.
#4 An early Imperial with interframe handles inset with green/gold metalflake.
#5 Small 2 blade marked,"Inox" with handles and bolsters made of different colored celluloid.
#6 A pair of out the front knives marked ,"Inox albacete"
#7 A multi-blade with Mercedes-Benz logo stamped,"Inox Made in Germany"
#8 Iriquois Cutlery serpentine jack.
#9 A 3 blade electrician's knife that originally had clear cel handles with the logo "ITE circuit breakers".Not sure who actually made it.
#10 Track custom folder by Ithaca Gun Works

Second page:
#1Made for "Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Boston Mass" by Russell. They also made firearms.
#2 Jewelry & Cutlery Novelty Co. pull ball switchblade with a manicure file cut into the blade. Obviously made by Geo. Schrade.
#3 Jewelry &Cutlery Novelty Co.fob knife with Masonic logo ,cap lifter on master blade and a key blank for a secondary blade. These supposedly were designed for old Post Office box locks.
#4 Another J.C.&N. knife advertising the "Massachusetts Consistory"which I believe is a religious order.
#5 Christopher Johnson Western Works dagger.
#6 Judson Cutlery Co. Germany pearl lobster.

That's all for now folks;please feel free to post some of yours.

Thanks for sharing those with us beresman! I have a folding knife and a fixed blade which I think is a letter opener with the bird handles.
