the Knife company Ambassador, Frontier
When did Ambassador and Frontier from (Imperial?) drop their name? Or sold to china for knock offs (?)

Imperial Schrade closed in 2004 and the name and IP were bought and used on knives imported from China. That would have included the Frontier brand. Ambassador was never part of Imperial.

Ambassador was a Colonial brand.
Imperial/Schrade last used the FRONTIER brand in the mid to late 1990's, maybe up to early 2000's. At that time the frontier knives were made in Ireland and were a Wal Mart exclusive, sold in clamshell packaging.
