Camillus 72 Clones

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

It has the Oval Craftsman shield with the Crown around the word Craftsman. It is 3-5/8" closed, and has jigged delrin handles. I believe in the sears catalogs, this may have been the ones called Boneite, but not possitive. The blades do not appear to have been sharpened on a stone, but do have some age spots or spiders. I did not have to do any cleaning and have only oiled the joints.

This afternoon I added this CAMILLUS 72 variation to my collection. It's a CRAFTSMAN 9494, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. I gave it a cleaning, took some pictures and here it is.

This is the latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection. It's a CAMILLUS 80 (only my 2nd "80"), 3 blade, swelled center, milled liners, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. It has a small crack in the handle, at the top pin. It does not bother me. It received a minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Here's my other "80."

JP, again, the "80" is a tough one to scratch off your "Grail" list.
AND you have the only other "80" (posted in this topic/thread)
that has the federal style shield. ::tu:: ::tu::
NOW.....you have to find the "80" with the football shaped shield.

Here's the link to the other posted "80" with the federal style shield (6th pic down).
