Can someone please identify this knife, I have 2

Seems to only be marked "440/Stainless". Many older Japan knives were marked like this but also with "Japan" on front or back tang.
Is the bail part of locking the blade open ?
I don't think much can be said about it's origin except likely Japan with Taiwan and China as other possibilities.
