Great Loom Fixers all! I need a user for sure as a sheepfoot is a handy blade.

Showed these a few years back and certainly fit here.

Two CASE XX 17 examples. Nice blood or cranberry red scales on the 6217. The 2217 is a pretty rare bird and unused/ near mint at that. Personally never observed another example but they are likely out there I would hope.

Jerry! Where ya been my friend?

Those are outstanding! Dream knives for sure!

I’ve never seen the black handled one before, I didn’t know they existed. And the bone one, wow! I have a USA era bone handled one that’s been pretty well used that I carry sometimes. If you ever get tired of them.......

Thanks Wade my friend. Been busy. Hope life for you and yours is well.

I need a carry example of this pattern for sure.

Regards, Jerry

Beautiful and interesting knives ya'll.

The AAPK forum is by far the best, in my opinion, to learn about knives in general.

Have a blessed day,

Found this one today in Pocomoke City, MD. Both blades stamped: CHAS. K. RANDALL over a sunburst. Houston Price shows a Chas. R. Randall Germany. Maybe they mistook the K for an R ? (Both stamps are very crisp, no mistake, its a K.) 3-9/16", nice bone. iron liners and bolsters. Can't be sure, looks more English or American. No country of origin stamp, must be pre-tariff or American. Little chip on the pen blade but, for $15 I didn't argue. Anyone know the mark ?. Thanks, My first "Loom Fixer" :D J.O'.

I really like these old KA-BAR loom fixer knives. I fished this one out of Ebay. It was even worse than it looked. I knew it was rusty, but the rust was hiding some grinder marks. It was also full of some gunk that soap and very hot water wouldn’t cut through. No idea what it was, which in itself is a little disturbing. I scraped it all out and dis infected it, now I’m working on the blades. Everything is tight and straight and it has great snap. Should be a good user.

I can’t wait to see it all gussied up! So far a Kabar loomfixer has eluded me. I need to fix that.

No unfortunately not ebony wood, just black plastic. Pretty boring actually, but functional.

Thanks doglegg and colonel26. I’ll stop buying them and give you a chance to get one.

It cleaned up ok. A couple deep pits and a couple deep grinder marks. Too bad because it has great snap and relatively full blades. It will get some pocket time and gain some patina and be a great user.

Here are the 4 KA-BAR LoomFixers I have
5DECECB2-07DD-4760-AED9-CA9691A0DDBB.jpeg
Kind of funny 4 samples and 3 different tang stamps. The top one is the only one that has “KABAR LOOM FIXER” stamped into the handle

Excellent! I must not be searching the right thing on eBay. That’s three more than I’ve ever seen for sale.

You are not on your own, Ebay can be a confusing place to be at the best of times. It has so many selling sites, and you can get directed to sites you had no idea about. It is a bit like a lottery for me sometimes. I am not what you would call tech savy, but i have found great things on Ebay that i was not particularly looking for, just sort of ended up on a sellers site. Sorry to get off topic, but just wanted to let you know you are not on your own mate. ::tu::

Does that one come with the pocket clip like the green bone does?

I like the denim covers.
