A Nest of Copperheads

Post by jerryd6818 »

A place for all Copperheads, large & small. All brands of Copperheads welcome.

This one showed up in my mailbox today. Since like ~Q~ I'm kinda hooked on Wharncliffe Blades, I had to have this one. The full size are 3-7/8" closed.

I believe you have a treasure trove, Jerry. My father did leave me this 2003 Case Copperlock with persimmon bone. I took this shot a couple of years ago when persimmons were ripe.

Thank you woodwalker & Papa Jones. And thanks, Jerry, for exposing some Copperheads.
Here's a 2017 Mini Copperlock & a Copperhead I found. It probably doesn't count.

It really isn’t so hard to get close to them. What is hard is to catch ’em smiling.

::rotflol:: ::rotflol:: I was at Big Springs near Van Buren Missouri one weekend with my dad and went for a walk while dad was BBQing and came across a snake. I stepped on his head and picked him up by the back of the head and walked him up to my dad. I said "look here dad, I found a snake". He liked to come unglued and said "son, that's a Copperhead!". I took him back to the cave area where I found him and turned him loose. Dad wasnt smiling and I dont believe the Copperhead was either. But i was! Too young to know better! :)

A lot of good looking Copperheads Guys.

And Geo, your picture of the real thing almost had me pull my pistol. I've had several run-ins with both Copperheads and Cottonmouths. Especially when Frog Gigging or Hunting Kane Breaks down in the marshes. I never met a Copperhead or Cottonmouth I didn't like........to shoot!
