George Lord (early 20th century) was well respected for his knowledge in working with steam boilers. He built a very successful business based on his Boiler Compounds, which were additives to boiler feedwater to prevent scales, corrosion, and sludge. In other words, they helped to maintain efficiency of boilers and keep them in safe working order. Information is limited, but from what I have read, Lord's Boiler Compounds were marketed/sold for use in steam locomotives as well as industrial and residential use.
I have some Leatherman Multitools with RR etches on them. I know I have UP and maybe others. If you'd like I can dig'em out and post pics of them.
