If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I've always been fascinated with items created in miniature and when I first saw this had to download it to my files. Made by an artist named Cindy Chin. It is a carving of a railroad train done on an ordinary carpenter's pencil! I wonder how many she broke before she got a good one?Hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for my thread on model railroads.
It looks right on topic to me! Cool!

That old guards caboose and the deep maroon passenger carriage look absolutely fantastic, so well restored. ::tu:: I like the photo of the old signs, the one of the old oil company has me fascinated. There is a TV show on over here about 2 blokes who buy and sell old things, and they are always on the lookout for old signs especially anything to do with cars, motor bikes and old oil companies. I had no idea how many old independent oil companies used to exist in America, just staggering. :o Thanks for posting, have a good weekend. ::handshake::

Kind of a fun thread and read , used to hitch a ride when kids on the boxcars . So it’s been enjoyable to read along here and will try to support you ::tu:: ::tu::
What’s the story with 25 pages, I must have missed something? Thanks

An old Victorian Railways advertising poster for getting perishable goods to market overnight. This was in response to the advent of trucks making inroads into their then having control of most of the freight carried.

A pic or three I've picked up at Railfan or Wikipedia.
A Baldwin photo of new Seaboard Air Line DR-12-8-3000 4500 at the manufacturer's plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania following its completion on December 3, 1945.jpg
American Locomotive's four C628 demonstrators, 628-1 through 628-4, circa 1964. All would be purchased by Southern Pacific.jpg
Califirnia Zephers Meet 1957.jpg
Looking for the magic penny!
