those listed with no shield are handled in sterling silver, cast bronze or pakkawood. so, i'm not sure what the handles are but they look like bone or cast bronze to look like jigged bone. depending on which issue, 1995 bronze values were very low compared to the bone. around $40. no idea what current value would be. there were no non-shielded issues in bone. so....this is assuming a lot. they were produced by blue grass.

looks like a german repro with bone handles, the sticker is hiding the shield I bet

So Iam a few days late but seen the post and wanted to comment. I have one of these and just like the fellas said its a reproduction. They are nice though. I paid 45.00 for mine and that was a couple years ago since then I have been offered 75.00 but seems like I never sell anything. Dunno if I added any info but just wanted to make sure to speek up.

Somehow I have gotten the idea that Bluegrass Cutlery and Winchester got together to have repros made by someone else, namely, Queen. And that Bluegrass has never actually made knives; they were the paper shufflers that got er done (?).

bluegrass cutlery has knives made by several companies including queen. they do not manufacture.

Parker, Scott, and Dorton had so many little projects together there is no real way to know on some of these knives. Scott/Dorton owned Bulldog originally but sold it to Parker and started Bluegrass; now only Scott is involved in BGC.

For the most part you just need to decide what the knife is worth by holding and rubbing it. But in my opinion this is one of the early repro's before they got into it in a big way. How many deep fancy etched blades have you seen come from Queen? Many samples were made in the Fight'n Rooster line, which was Olbertz, which was Bulldog, which is where these guys had knives made in the 1980's. The bone is not really a common Queen looking bone either; much more like the Fight'n Rooster / Bulldog Folding Hunters from the 1980's.

Mint condition, I would say $90-110.

BTW, the sticker is obviously placed over a keyhole shield.

i thought they were tabs on a sticker! however they did not use a keyhole shield. either a propeller, heraldic, oval, or none were used on the single blade knives.

Regardless of official name, I think all can make out the general shape; and suspect it matches the eBay model as well.

That looks to be a very well made knife. The etch looks really good to, nice and deep

Well just got the knife today. The Blade is incredible!! As for the rest of the knife, it’s of average quality. The deep etch is so well done on this knife very impressive
