Thank you Floyd.
It's definitely the first BOKER U.S.A. "72" variation
that I've seen. I don't think I'll ever see another one.
But, you never know.........

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
I wondered who got those. Glad it was you. Just for a bit of back info, TEPPCO was TEPPCO Partners LP, a Fortune 300 company based in Houston, Texas. It was used from 1990 to 2005. In 2005 TEPPCO group was bought out by Enterprise Products.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:33 am Today these six pocket knives joined my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection.......
I was actually wondering if Boker ever produced this pattern. Beautiful piece, and a Salesman Sample is a Bonus. Plus another to add to the list of 72 Clones.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 8:00 pm Today this pocket knife becomes the latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variation/clone collection. It is a BOKER U.S.A., 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "TREE BRAND", Salesman Sample, "whittler" pocket knife. This is my first and only, so far, salesman sample pocket knife. It is in NEAR MINT condition and required no cleaning at all. The only thing that I did to it, was wipe off the drool. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
This evening I'm posting this latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection (I did not have one of these). It's a CAMILLUS "YELLO-JAKET", 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. It is NOT stamped with a pattern #. It is in EXCELLENT condition and required no cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Skip could that be one of the end of company knives when they were using up old stock? I am not depreciating the knife. That blade on the single end appears like those seen on other end of days knives. A desirable knife for sure. Congrats.

Thank you Floyd.
If it is indeed a CAMILLUS created "end of days/company " pocket knife or a CAMILLUS
created "Frankenknife", that just makes it a more interesting conversation piece.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Cool piece to find Skip. I agree with Floyd. Seems I read that near the close, they were using up whatever inventory they had to build what they could, and that there were a few mismatched knifes. It is definitely a great find!!New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:01 am This evening I'm posting this latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection (I did not have one of these). Here's a couple more of those odd ducks.
This one has a Stanley SL6 main blade (note the Stanley is ground off and Camillus is etched on) and the dinky secondary clip blade which is swapped with the coping blade.
Forged on the anvil of discipline.

I got to a certain point where I had all the years and tang stamps (except for the unicorns) and I was still interested so I picked up anything that was out of the ordinary and that included advertisers.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
I was asked to post this one in this thread. I found it yesterday afternoon in a antique/junk store. I was told it is a Camillus 1047. I’m sure most who post regularly here saw this in the Camillus 72 thread where I mistakenly posted it. Maybe it can help someone figure out an answer to a question one of these years. You just never know!
Thanks for looking!
