I think that is the first Boker 72 I have seen. That is a fabulous find. And a salesman sample no less. Skip I am excited for you with that one. Wow!!!

Today these six pocket knives joined my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection.......

I wondered who got those. Glad it was you. Just for a bit of back info, TEPPCO was TEPPCO Partners LP, a Fortune 300 company based in Houston, Texas. It was used from 1990 to 2005. In 2005 TEPPCO group was bought out by Enterprise Products.

Today this pocket knife becomes the latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variation/clone collection. It is a BOKER U.S.A., 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "TREE BRAND", Salesman Sample, "whittler" pocket knife. This is my first and only, so far, salesman sample pocket knife. It is in NEAR MINT condition and required no cleaning at all. The only thing that I did to it, was wipe off the drool. I took some pictures and here it is.

I was actually wondering if Boker ever produced this pattern. Beautiful piece, and a Salesman Sample is a Bonus. Plus another to add to the list of 72 Clones.

It's a CAMILLUS "YELLO-JAKET", 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. It is NOT stamped with a pattern #. It is in EXCELLENT condition and required no cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Skip could that be one of the end of company knives when they were using up old stock? I am not depreciating the knife. That blade on the single end appears like those seen on other end of days knives. A desirable knife for sure. Congrats.

Cool piece to find Skip. I agree with Floyd. Seems I read that near the close, they were using up whatever inventory they had to build what they could, and that there were a few mismatched knifes. It is definitely a great find!!

This one has a Stanley SL6 main blade (note the Stanley is ground off and Camillus is etched on) and the dinky secondary clip blade which is swapped with the coping blade.

That’s a couple of odd ducks for sure, very interesting but not surprising !

I got to a certain point where I had all the years and tang stamps (except for the unicorns) and I was still interested so I picked up anything that was out of the ordinary and that included advertisers.
