Here's a couple that were fished out of the bay, an Uncle Henry MM897 (Mac tool etch), 2 chipped blades that can be slightly reprofiled and a nice little Queen #43, no tang stamp but clear etch, imitation Winterbottom.
A rough UH but a very nice little Queen.

Floyd, $3.75 was the right bait for the raggedy old Uncle Henry. ::nod::

Today arrived a knife made by Takeshi Saji. All of Master Saji's knives are hand forged using traditional methods. He makes knives for hunting and outdoor use. Since his knives are expected to be used, he does not heavily decorate them. I have a number of very sharp knives. I sometimes think it is not likely I will ever find a greater sharpness. Then along comes a knife like this which seems to take the concept of sharp to a new level.

The handle is wood wrapped in leather and bamboo. The guard is forged iron. The Damascus blade is made of White steel with a Rockwell of 61-62. Unlike Seki knives, his knife blades are shaped by hammer forging out of the laminated carbon steel. The White Steel #2 is particularly free from contaminates allowing for extra sharpness.

Glad you like it Marco. Since this knife maker specializes in hunting and outdoor knives and has been very successful for many decades, I wonder how big a hobby hunting is in Japan. Do they allow firearms etc?

As always, Google has the answer:

Hunting in Japan
Hunting is a thing in Japan, even with guns. ... There are three types of hunting licenses: nets, traps and firearms, the latter of which covers both air guns and projectiles (rifles and shotguns), although hunters younger than 20 may only use air-powered guns like BB guns.

Some examples of 47 game species are Brown Bear, Black Bear, Shika Deer, Wild Boar, Japanese Hare, Ducks, Green Pheasant, Japanese Quail, and Tree Sparrow.

Thank you JP. I made a mistake on the handle. The handle wrap is rattan rather than bamboo. They are rather similar I understand. The blade length is 8 inches and the balance point is about 1inch forward of the guard.

Picked up this Short line Tang Stamp Camillus 72 off the bay for $16 the first of the month. It arrived yesterday. Had to do some cleaning and re-profile the Main Clip Blade. Now it is a nice filler and EDC 72 until a better one comes along. I have posted more details about it in the Camillus 72 thread.
