I have been looking for an older fixed blade knife to replace a folding Western knife, I am selling back to its previous owner, a buddy who was sorry he sold his Western. I found this badly treated Ka-Bar on the auction sight. Its a late 60s early 70s era knife. The sheath is shot, and it looks like it has seen a grinder wheel. I am going to clean it up in stages, rust and then maybe some scratch mediation...and some work on the handle...till I get it to my idea of a user knife fit for the truck bag. Have to find a new sheath too. But it is solid and should clean up fine.
Any special thoughts...something I am not thinking of?
Thanks
