Question, should I clean the blades or not? ::shrug:: Is it possible to do some sort of "Soft" clean up on them? Make them a bit shiny without over doing it so to say. ::hmm::

Thanks for looking! ::handshake::
Congrats Tom. ::tu:: ::tu:: Awesome looking EO.

For $5.25 shipped, why say no? A hamburger these days is more than that. Heck, with free shipping, the postage has to cost the seller that alone. But I did think it over for 24 hrs.

SABRE USA "keychain" knife (same as the old fob pattern). Chances are, this is a Colonial-made knife. I believe this is the same pattern as the really old ones with gold-filled handles, instead, this one is just red anodized aluminum.

What’s not to like about a EO, nicely done Tom . Is that the one you posted a question about the other day? Nice job reeling it in . As for a light cleaning ,hot soapy water to get rid of grease, oil. Then maybe Some fine steel wool and lube it up is all I would do. A little mineral oil on the old bones will help it from drying out and cracking too bad .
Beautiful EO . Have a good one over there ::handshake::

OK JP. I'll clean it with some hot soapy water first and then, I also bought 10 Coppercloths at work today. They are 5 1/2" X 6" in size. Normally used at work for cleaning car glass. I will test them together with Flitz for cleaning up HOK's. We'll see how that goes. ::hmm:: ::nod::

I'll take some before and after pictures when I test them & post them somewhere on the forum. ::tu::

Came a few days early, this R14 . Looks factory fresh except for a little scratch on one blade . Got off the bay, great service and price. Will clean it up and put it in the clone thread .
Have a good one out there, stay warm.

I figured $24 was a decent deal for these two three-blade Klein electrician's knives so I put them in my eBay watch list, but the seller offered them to me for $20 (and free shipping) just now, so I took them up on the offer. They aren't really good-looking, but decent users. $10 each is what I consider a good deal for a decent two-blade from Camillus.

The one with a coping blade is semi-uncommon, and actually why I bought the pair. Usually, the three-blade models have a hawkbill blade in this position. I prefer the smaller blade for what I do. And, it's not a pain in the arse to try to sharpen.

Imitation Ivory handles. I have been told there were only 500 of these made. ::shrug:: If anyone can tell me more about it I'd be happy to hear it. ::nod::

Nice! Given it's a Case, and a limited edition that is not some ugly commemorative (which Case makes way too many of), you did really well!

I picked up this used and beat-up 2001-dated, probably Queen-made Moore Maker Stockman for an EDC. This appears to be a Jumbo Stockman at 4 1/4" closed, which would make it as being based on the #49. I wanted something I wouldn't care to use as my work knife on the farm, and not baby like I do most of my old bone and wood-handled knives. I paid $35 for it, probably a bit much given the condition. Seller says it has good snap and no wobble, however. But, Moore Maker prices on the secondary market seem inflated to me, especially from Texan sellers. And, I've seen some knives similar to this and of similar age also made by Queen for $150 or more on the Moore Maker site.

s-l1600MMQLS1.jpg
s-l1600MMQLS2.jpg

This is the only real problem, a small chip in the bone. Worn smooth, but still gonna need to be patched.
s-l1600MMQLSD.jpg

Because Jumbo Stockmen, while being solid workhorses (and the Case 75 Stockman is really popular with farmers here, as is the 54 Trapper), are a brick in the pocket, I've also ordered a good quality belt sheath. I have some cheap ones that are a tight fit for bigger knives, and really poor quality leather. I ordered this one from South Texas Tack (where I normally buy my new Moore Makers online, since they're not sold at all here in VA). I think this is one of the ones their in-house saddle shop makes. Saddle shop sheaths are MUCH better than the factory sheaths or cheap generic ones most feed stores carry. But, they're often more expensive. But, oddly not in this case. This one was $15, but a bit over $20 once shipped.

Nice score mate, i purchased a case 1/2 whittler in smooth white bone, and it is a fantastic knife, yours will be the same. 2 blade, easy fit in the pocket, and feels good in the hand, what's not to like. ::tu:: By the way, if you don't already know, it's Willy's birthday. Have a good week and want a report on your purchase after you have carried it for a while. :)
