Picked this little Camillus Sword Brand 70 out of the bay recently. Seller had it for a super high price, I made a reasonable offer and to my surprise they accepted. More pics on the Camillus page.DSCN6862.JPGDSCN6864.JPG
Looks good Floyd!!

jmh, cudgee, Papa Bones, thanks for the kind words.
JP, that Remington is one of the bone handled 72's, great grab! And the Camillus utility knife is the most common one to find with the no line tang stamp. And would you look at those handles!!! Great pick ups.

Hey guys! Just received this little beauty, and it carries quite a history with it. It's a genuine prototype folder ...
Very Cool find Madmarco.
Thanks much Smitty, I appreciate your comments! Although I rarely comment on the knives you post, which is something I need to correct, I very much enjoy viewing your posts! Mark!

Hey guys! Just received this little beauty, and it carries quite a history with it. It's a genuine prototype folder that was commissioned by Blackjack Knives, but never went into production. It came with paperwork from Jemmy Iwahara, the fella that Mark(SSk)deals with at Japanese Knife Direct that states the knife was hand-made, only a few were produced, and that's it's very rare. I included pics of the letter from Jemmy, although, you will need to click-on the pic and then click-on it again so it will magnify so you can read it. I was in negotiations with a fellow member to purchase their copy, but the deal fell through and I found this one on Ebay. There was also another copy on Ebay that has the official Blackjack logo and wording as the tang stamp and an asking price of US$1498., but my copy and the copy belonging to the fellow member have a tang stamp of "FLT-1", so I've emailed Jemmy to see if he can explain the differences. The knife is titled "Blackjack Donnybrook" and is an 8 3/8" oal linerlock/SS dagger blade with stud, NS bolsters, brass liners, and black ringed micarta covers. Of course this is just my opinion, but I would call this the perfect knife! 8)WIN_20210215_13_24_56_Pro.jpgWIN_20210215_13_25_19_Pro.jpgWIN_20210215_13_25_45_Pro.jpgWIN_20210215_19_31_18_Pro.jpg
Mark, that is a real treasure! I was going to post that I like the knife when I saw the first picture. I hadn't even read your comments yet.
Awesome knife and a fantastic find!
Thanks Rick! I always appreciate your comments, and, viewing the knives you post!
Actually very nice, very well made (ala AG Russell)...fit and finish is amazing (for a $40 knife)...I decided to get one of each...and I'm happy I did. Generally, I tend to shy away from knives made in China but, these Brother knives are WAY better than what you'd normally expect on a $40 import. Very "AG Russell-like" (right down to the interior striker pin)

Very nice Q! You chose 2 of the 4 models I have on my "Wishlist". Great knives at a more than reasonable price!

Got mail on a Sunday again. I have to give kudos to USPS for this because tomorrow is a holiday and I would have had to wait 2 more days.
Brother 1503. Also known as the "Cowfish" although I have no idea why. I don't see anything about it that resembles a Cowfish. Great knife though. Especially for $40.
Wow! I like it Buddy! Or should I say... Holy Cowfish!

My "PIT" with horn handles came today. If anyone was wondering, yes it is sharp & the punch is so pointy it goes through skin like butter. Ouch! Nice knife though.
Thanks for looking!

No Amazon, no UPS, no FedEx and no USPS mail for the last 3 days. I finally got someone on the phone
at our local Post Office. I was told that after the 130 car pile up in Fort Worth the other day USPS would not
let the trucks leave the Fort Worth Distribution Center. It could be Saturday before they are allowed to
bring the mail & packages to the local Post Offices. I guessing it's the same with the other delivery services.

What can this thing be that I’ve found?”
I've had a few arrivals I haven't posted on here, but I got two today that I particularly like and wanted to share. First is a little MOP pen knife by Joseph Rogers, I'm guessing between 1890 and 1901, based on the "Cutlers to Her Majesty" inscription. I haven't yet searched on the name (if that's what it is) "B C Auetin" carved into the scale on the pile side, but I think the handle is gorgeous.
Second is this KaBar. I thought the handles might be bone from the photos I saw, but they have an iridescence in person like a synthetic pearloid material. I like them but wonder if the knife has been re-handled. It doesn't matter to me if it has, I suppose, because I like it anyway.
One thing that puzzles me is what appears to be the letter "S" underneath the Olean NY stamp. Also another partial letter (in the photo it looks like an "R", but to my eye more like a "C"). Any ideas?

It looks like it may have come out of the same factory as the Chinese AG Russells.
Agreed. Look how close the resemblance is.
Agreed.
Now the truth about Brother is out, I'll go with A.G., much easier for me to get...
Some good lookin' knives gent's, cut above their price bracket.
