Spending the cold day with my girls. The wife and I's anniversary, 8 years, together for 12. This Texas jack built by Tony Bose is with me,

David, your 17 was a one year offered knife. Only in first catalogue after the war. Also it has the scarce no line tang stamp. I have one and yours is the only other one I have seen. My pen blade is like yours but you have a lot more metal left on the main blade. Lovely and thanks for sharing.

Thank you Harold.
Thank you Floyd. Good score and nice bone on the one you have. The 17 is a scarce one for sure. Looked for a long time before I found this one.doglegg wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 7:23 pmDavid, your 17 was a one year offered knife. Only in first catalogue after the war. Thanks for all the kind words folks.
Carrying this front lock Hidalgo model from Jerry Halfrich. Mike Norris stainless damascus and old growth redwood burl. Jerry is just getting back to making knives after a devastating flood 5 years ago. Notice the recessed and domed pins, top shelf.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
You know what they say about great minds. Until rather recently I had little interest in a congress. That sure has changed & I've got my eye on a Camillus.garddogg56 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 1:54 pm Geo nice congress,I have the same idea this weekend mine is a rat tail bolster#40 Camillus long line and a mini-griptilian.
And a belated thanks for your comment on my Case #31 1/2. It's such a pleasure to carry. I have a bunch of favorites but it's one of 'em.

Now John, that Esse is the kind of knife my Dad would dig. He only wants to carry/use knives that are highly visible now, after loosing his Buck Bantam. Probably when he was spraying last summer...
