Parker Knives

Can anyone tell me when Parker knives started to be manufactured in Japan? Is there a specific era of the knife that had good quality?

Most of the knives that I have seen from Seki, Japan were very nicely made.

I hear the first knives were not quality knives - Dale may know more on that. At first the Seki knives were not quality knives - going back to 1978. There was the Parker Eagle Brand, Parker Imai, Parker Edwards, and Parker Brothers (under Parker Eagle). I think there may have been a Parker and Sons also. Seki knives today, there are some quality knives today.

I have a few Parker branded knives from the late 70's/Early 80's and they are great. I have no complaints with the fit and finish at all.
