What year did Case begin the Case XX razors edge etching and has there been any change in the wording of this etching since the beginning?
Thanks

Re: Case XX razors edge.
Have you tried looking in Steve's book "Collecting Case Knives"? I wonder if the answer could be in there.

Re: Case XX razors edge.
Case introduced the stainless knives with glazed finish blades and the etch in 1965, with the CASE XX STAINLESS USA stamp. The original etch (used for a short time) was TESTED XX STAINLESS.
Then they switched to the TESTED XX RAZOR EDGE etch, so that etch started in late 1965 or 1966, no way to tell exactly. The change of the wording from STAINLESS to RAZOR EDGE is the only change made.
They continued that etch on some patterns until the early 90's.
