My Case Autumn Second Cut Bone Mini-Trapper is in the mail. Only it's going instead of coming. It's going back to Case for repair. I want them to fix that spey blade 3/8" of rock in the half stop position. I wonder how long that will take.

Hope it works out for you, Jerry. That's a beautiful knife. I sent a Buck squire to Buck in mid October for a blade replacement. I just got it back a few weeks ago. I talked to a representative and she said they were two to three months behind because of covid bs..

Western punch-blade Stockman, should be a 744. I hoped I'd get it for the starting bid (which was about $5 shipped); but it ended up going to $13. Still less than the seller's $30 Buy-it-Now price.

There's a crack I'll need to patch, but this should clean up into a nice user. Been needing a punch-blade Stockman for my day-to-day tasks--and I wasn't too crazy about the Case (I prefer amber or brown bone, like on this knife; and currently you can only get black Delrin or red bone versions; all Shepherd Hills SFOs--Case discontinued the cheap Yellow Delrin variant Tractor Supply sold some years ago) or Moore Maker versions currently available (which are Bear and Son made; and somewhat pricey--actually more than the Case despite plastic handles).

Nice! Looks like an Imperial I've got here somewhere. I see Contento made a TON of tourist knives with various German landmarks on them, which is something I kinda collect occasionally. I have one SAK that's a Hamburg tourist knife, and I think those two (really inexpensive) Contento tourist knives I found on eBay will go well with it.

The Benchmade 7 Rescue Hook 4 years ago now was my first Benchmade, long before I got either of my two folders (Mini Griptillian and Bone Collector Mini). While designed as seatbelt/clothing cutters for military/emergency; they're great all around. These cut paracord, clam pack, baler twine, feed sacks, and weed eater string like nothing. They're 440C (instead of the rustproof, but soft and cheap 420J2 like a lot of the options found in most stores today), and my 7 is still pretty much as sharp as the day it was made. I also have the bigger 8, which is mostly a package opener. While pretty expensive at $40 new from Benchmade, both the 7 and 8 show up on the surplus market a lot for $10-15. The only cutter I like better is the Raker Ring Tool/KERT. I have a Damascus steel original made by Ray Kirk (a custom knifemaker) himself, but don't carry it. The KERT production version from CRKT doesn't stay sharp. I like the #7 as both a tool to save wear on my folder for opening stuff; as well as a cutter for places like hospitals and stuff; areas where knives aren't allowed, but I may need to cut something like food packaging. It's big enough to hold well, but small enough to fit down in a pocket for carry. The sheath with this version, being a solid plastic holster should be perfect for simply covering the cutter so it doesn't ruin my pocket.

The original I had was supplied without the original sheath and was supplied with a 9mm mag pouch that didn't fit the tool too well (but it works great for a Buck 110!); and I'm trying to avoid a long-winded description, but the original sheath for early models was a plastic MOLLE holster. Bought these off a member of another forum for $60 total. The Spyderco Saver Salt will be a work knife. I had been looking at it for years. The Atlantic Salt (H-1 steel)/Rescue (VG-10) at 4 3/4 closed with just over a 3.5" blade is way too big for an EDC; but the Rescue 79mm (VG-10)/Saver Salt (H-1) is not at just over 4" closed with a 3" blade is not. That's actually my sweet spot.

But, not this one. Dress and special occasions only. Even though I can tell it had been used and sharpened, I still can't believe he only asked $15 for it, as I know stag Bokers are EXPENSIVE! That's why I like to buy my traditional off modern/tactical knife guys, and my modern/tacticals off of traditional guys. I'm both--I don't prefer one or the other (but I do have many more traditionals than I do tactical folders). I think this is a small pen, which puts at at under 3".

PS: for those wondering, my metric is as follows. Bright-color Delrin/plastic or micarta/G-10 for working knives; bone for EDC, and stag/horn/mother of pearl is for dress carry. Stainless covers all three--dressy enough, but tough enough. But it's heavy if it's thick enough to be comfortable, sharp if slim enough to be light. My dress knives right now are an EKA gentleman's pattern with Viking symbols, as well as a Victorinox Director--and these also serve as EDC.

While the pile stamp wasn't shown well (which should say "SL10 440SS USA"; I noticed the carbon steel backsprings, which seems to be a tale-tale with Camillus if equipped with stainless blades. I am gonna use and carry this one. A big selling point for me is the fully serrated long spey blade. I have a Case that has a part serrated main blade, but not the spey. The main blade is the one I normally use. And these don't show up that often it seems. I couldn't resist the price either. $15 is about the cost of a larger Rough Ryder these days.

I haven't seen that one before. I have a Moose from this series (mainly because NIB, it was like $25, and it's the first reasonably priced older BOKER I've seen locally), but that's it. Boker did a TON of them from '75-77.
