Who’d a thunk it!?

The Cattaraugus Cutlery Company was started by John Champlin and his son Tint in 1882. It was first incorporated under the name J.B.F. Champlin and Son as a wholesale distribution company based in Little Valley, New York. The business proved to be a successful endeavor, and it soon branched into a knife production company named Cattaraugus.

Ken I can see why the price went that high. Sticker looks to be in excellent condition and I think rare. I’ve never seen it before.

$130, for a not even three-inch diameter sticker? And, I thought the $30 book value of a particular mining hard hat sticker I have was nuts.

This is a rare one for sure never seen another and yes I was on it but was outbid right at the end. I believe it is post Pan Am Expo. I have one from the Expo, picture attached, but on the bottom it’s marked Pan-American Exposition. The one on ebay has a different saying about the hardware trade. I’ve seen 3 others from the Expo and again never seen the on from ebay before. Wish I would have gotten it ::mdm:: ::mdm::
