Re: Remington knives with an etch
Been awhile since I've been able to pick up a nice Remington, This R219 popped up the other day, appears to be very lightly used, unmolested, possibly factory edge. Etch is light and patter number weakly struck.

Re: Remington knives with an etch
herbva rehandled and cleaned up this one for me, the silver celluloid was out-gassing and about ready to grenade this stockman. Herb even managed to keep about 2/3s of the etch while dealing with the rust/corrosion issues.
4", I think it is a R3065 or variant, great Remington UMC Made In USA blade stamps on all 3 blades but no visible pattern number. Acorn shield so you know there's a punch. It's now a nice EDC for me.
*Herb's pictures except for the last one.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I'm normally not a fan of metal handled knives, but I like this one.

Re: Remington knives with an etch
I picked up a couple of these this last year at an estate sale. I'm getting ready to put this one in my store. I do like the etches on these blades. Even though the etch is not really fancy I still think it looks good, especially on the trapper main blade.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

John, I finally managed to find a R2303.RalphAlsip wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 8:09 pmThank you John. I do not have R2303. I wasn’t looking for this R2403, but couldn’t pass it up when I saw it. I do have the Case Tested XX 61214 1/2 and 61215 1/2 which are equivalent to the R2303 and R2403, respectively. Schrade also made the Case renditions.pearlroosterman wrote:Do you have the 4 inch version?

Been quite a dry spell for posting or acquiring a good Remington.
Really happy with the condition of this r8004.
