Thanks guys, it was so good to get out of town for a day. Plus I found some driftwood burls I think I can use for pens.

I thought that this rotting pine stump made a good spot to park a couple of knives....

John that style of knife is always intriguing to me. I have seen one like it offered by a Canadian seller. Looks very useful. Thanks for sharing and great pic. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu::

I remember seeing similar things on a cold morning when we had to get water from the spring. We just would say "the ground is spewed up it's so cold." I'm not sure but it looks like moisture after a rain that frozen and had no place to go but up.
