The Passing of Jim Frost

Just saw on Facebook that Jim Frost lost his battle with Covid 19 after spending 24 days in the Hospital . It was on Smoky Mt Knife Works . Rest in Peace

Sorry to learn of that. I used to buy knives from his monthly mailing lists about 50 years ago. He was one of the early dealers, along with Dewey Ferguson, Jim Parker and a couple of others.

Wow, I was watching him last month on the Cutlery Corner show. I think his health has been an issue over the last few years. There was a period of time he didn't appear on the show, for months, and I figured it was health related. I have a H&R fixed blade with his signature on it that I picked up several years ago.

RIP. Jim was very influetial in the early collecting market. He was big on Case trapper collecting and KNIFE NOOK was his list and store name.

Sorry to hear this may he Rip and condolences to his family and friends .
Shortly after I turned 40 I started walking to keep my weight down and have a more healthy life style. One morning as I was on my walk I found Frost balisong knife on the sIde of the road, I toted that thing for a couple years even got pretty good at fipping it open. It's in my tool tray out in the shop now and I'd bet money it would shave hair off you arm right now. I've got several Frost knives but none with as good of steel as that one.
