Collector's Choice?
Of all the regular production knife manufactures and name brands being offered in today's market (no customs), which brands would you think will be at the top of a collector's list (like a Case Tested era is now for example) in 70 or 80 years? I know there's a lot of names that can be listed so, let's say the top 3.

Re: Collector's Choice?
I think that by that time, about any American manufactured knife will be a collectable because by then there will not have been any made here in more than half a century. I truly hope I am wrong, but the American knife companies are dropping like flies these days.
With that said I'll say:
Canal Street
Case
GEC
Not necessarily in that order.
I'll predict you see at least one of the three above either shut down or move production offshore within the next ten years.

GEC for the quality and USA Schrade for the quantity. Number three I just cannot speculate.

Any Queen , in house or contract brands. S&M will be the leader
GEC
Case, by default. Their quality is not so hot these days but their name will carry them, they may come back??

Re: Collector's Choice?
I'll go with old Case, Camillus and Benchmade. For a Fourth I'd go with old Remingtons.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
