Old Imperials, unassuming, just do their job. Love the tree knots for the back ground.

Great pictures, Scott! You can't beat a red Case trapper!
I had to look up that particular mushroom, the Jack-o-Lantern. According to the www, it's a bad dude, poison, causes all sorts of issues!
The green knife is resting on something we call deer moss, don't reckon it'll hurt you.
I remember someone suggesting that you should do a knife calendar with your great shots in the Florida woods.

Loving everyone's pictures, feeling a little blue since I've been doing too much overtime to get out in weeks. Keep up the pictures so we can live vicariously through your adventures.

Heeeyyyyyyy, that's a great shot. Love the row of monuments in stone, the trees, the diffused cloudy, almost misty looking light. Oooooohhhhyyyyyyeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

"Old Soldiers..."
Old Soldiers names,
Written in stone,
Old Soldiers fames,
Forgotten - Unknown,
Old Soldiers lying,
So far from home,
Wishing they had never,
Chosen to roam.

I like that, Tom, but I like all of your work. While there are other military markers in this old cemetary, I chose that particular spot to exhibit my "old soldiers in ebony" because the stone indicates that the deceased was in the Black Hawk wars. That is a period in U.S. history which doesn't get much mention, but quite interesting nonetheless.
Thanks Madmarco, Iman, and Tom, for the kind words.

I carried a Camillus Teardrop on my soggy walk this morning. I couldn't decide which pic I liked better, so, I posted both. I thought the slightly misty, slightly icy conditions called for b/w.

Re: Knives in the Wild
That's one sweet looking knife Ike. Long pull, dark wood, swedge. It has a lot going for it!
Along with the pictures!

Re: Knives in the Wild
Here ya go Scott, hope you enjoy my friend!
"Silent Hunter"
Through the forest,
Brown & green,
Quiet as,
A dead man's dream,
Sunbeams dancing,
Clover, dew,
Silent hunter,
Passing through.
Over streams,
Through a field,
Silent hunter,
Clover shield,
Of all things,
There are few,
This ol' hunter,
Can not do!
