Thanks gents, Rick has done nothing but get better over the last 15 years, he was a friend of Tony B. and learned a lot from him. Rick is just a part time maker, works with USDA and wildlife for a living, and a stand up dad and husband.

Rick Menefee Mammoth Ivory Doglegs...a very difficult act to follow, to be sure. Absolutely stunningly gorgeous knives...museum pieces IMO.

Re: Matchng Pairs
Here are two Connecticut knives covered in the long tooth.
The whittler is Humason & Beckley Mfg. Co. 1852-1916
The pen is Northfield Knife Co. 1858-1919
Both of these knives are 3 3/4" long closed.

Re: Matchng Pairs
Today's Matching Pair are these two CAMILLUS, single blade, 3 tool pocket knives. The only thing that keeps them from being identical is the date on the tang stamp. One is stamped 1949 and the other is stamped 1959.

Re: Matchng Pairs
Matching set. Interesting story with these. They were made in 2010 by GEC for Perry Miller (Spaceport Cutlery). 150 of each handle material (Brazilian Cherry, Red Jig Bone, Burnt Stag). The knives didn't sell as quickly as Perry had assumed, and he passed away not long after. Then in 2012 the Daniels Family acquired the rights to the Tuna Valley name, they got all his leftover unsold knives also. The unsold knives were modified at Queen to differentiate them from the originals already sold (and to hide the serial number on the bolster). So the Bone and Wood ones had their bolsters dimpled, and the Stag ones had etched bolsters.
So a knife, made by Great Eastern Cutlery, for Spaceport Cutlery, modified by Queen Cutlery, under the name Tuna Valley Cutlery. hahaha quite a history.

Re: Matchng Pairs
Rocking it Rookie, what fabulous eye candy. Love the blade choices those babies give you. The beauty is they're a GEC build quality and style and yet has something else stamped on it. Loooooooove those GECs that don't say GEC or are modified so they don't look run of the mill anymore. Nothing wrong with run of the mill GEC either. Looooooove all my GEC run of the mills too. Some of my favorite knives. But it really gets me excited to see something modified to near one of a kind or rare bird status in the pantheon of the short history of beloved Great Eastern stuff. And rumor has it there won't be any SFOs in the future like these your showing, or Northwoods or M&Grosh etc, etc. Could be the end of an incredible era of knives. Congrats on that cache of beauties.

Re: Matchng Pairs
Got out some knives to take pictures of for another thread. Realizing
I have my first "pair" of Case knives, thought I'd show em off.
And, Yes of course!..., you guys can say you know me.
No Problem!
This is a pair of
#18's? Medium Stockman knives. I'll go check that in the "Research" section to see if I am correct right after I finish this post.
Anyways, here is a "6318 SS" with a Flag Shield. ( 6 = jigged bone / 3 = Nr. of blades / 18 = pattern # / SS = Sexy Steel
)
The second one is a "7318 SS" with slanted bolsters &
Federal Shield
( 7 = Wood, In this case ebony wood. / Rest is as above mentioned.)
Enough blah blah blah...
Thanks for looking friends!

(Edit:
Pattern #18 is the 3 1/2" Serpentine Stockman.)

Nice pair of SerpStock 18s, Tom. Same pattern but each with different characteristics. I like the slanted bolsters and federal badge shield on the ebony 7318, and I love the stars and stripes shield on the 6318 (it's one of my top three favorite Case shields).
