Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Two trappers and a 99

I actually bought back the trappers, I already knew they were tip top so it was a easy purchase to make

Stunning!!! ::tu:: 8) ::tu::

Are the Trappers XX era? I noticed that the top one has a "Tall S" on the shield (like the 99) and the bottom one has a "Block S"

I finally gave in and got myself a 1990 Case 240WHSS 1st Issue Dogleg Trapper. To be honest, I wasn't particularly attracted to this pattern because to me it looks like an oversize mutant Peanut. ::uc:: But, I really like my 207WHSS 1st Issue collection so I thought I'd give this pattern a try. Of course, the Wharncliffe blade was the clincher. Now I need to find the matching serrated Wharncliffe model (although I don't know if that model was ever even made).

Really like that blade combo, they look great together. Love a couple full sized blades on that size knife. Nice score

Excellent knives, Tom, Jerry and Q! That -40 pattern dogleg is one of my favorite patterns, I keep hoping and wishing Case would release it from the vault and do a year's worth of variations. I can't see how they wouldn't sell a bunch of these; very classic, perfect size and I love the blades. ::nod::

Thanks, 1967rr...the 6240 is a curvy/sexy/cool handful of a knife...I imagine it would be quite a pocketful as well...If I were ever to EDC it I would definitely have to consider using a belt sheath. ::nod::

The Spay blade looks like a mini-machete to me :lol:
