Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This knife did have sharp edges. What I call "factory sharp", that is they were sharpened with a grinder as most new knives are. That edge is not something I like to leave on my blades if I am going to carry the knife.
I have learned to sharpen and remove the grind and put my own edge on the blade.
Thank you.

Recently snagged a Paul Lone Wolf for cheap, scale damage, didn't like the wood anyway. Grabbed some ivory from Boone's Trading Co. and outfitted the new Lone Wolf with some ooooooooooold lone Mammoth tusk and like the looks and feel much better. Don't know if they did this knife in Mammoth originally, but if not, maybe it's the only one too.

Beautiful re-do Iman! Looks far better than the original! I search Paul knives all the time, and I've never seen one in Ivory, so yours is very likely a one-of-a-kind! I was a split second away from acquiring a Lone Wolf Defender for an unbelievable price,(US$172.) but the day after the order was placed I got an email and refund claiming the knife was no longer available. BUMMER, huh! It seems the company had changed hands and the new owner wasn't even aware that the knife was posted where I found it, which was through a Google search, so it apparently had been sold awhile ago! Was pretty disappointed for a day or so, but, put it behind me and kept on searching. They have about 8 Defenders at Knivesshipfree, but price tags of nearly US$900., so way outta my league! Maybe some day! Again, nice score!Ivoryman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 1:44 am Recently snagged a Paul Lone Wolf for cheap, scale damage, didn't like the wood anyway. Hey Q - I had one of those once ... boy, is that big honkin' knife though - it was way bigger than it looked in pictures. Has nice curves to it - almost like a grand daddy wharncliffe peanut !!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Yup...much bigger than I expected: a whopping 4½" (a full 1" bigger than the 07 and 3/8" bigger than a full-size 54 Trapper!)
Here's what surprised me about it, though...it's not really all that much thicker than an 07 (the bolsters are noticeably thicker, though). You'd think a knife this size would naturally be much thicker; but, for such a big knife it's surprisingly not. Although, to be honest, it still seems oversize in every dimension to me because I'm so accustomed to handling 07s.

Hey friends,
Got this Imperial Hammer Brand knife in the mail yesterday. It's absolutely clean! And very snappy! Main blade even has a swedge on it which surprised me.
I am adding it to my EDC's and putting it in my pocket today.
Think I'll give advertising knives on eBay a bit more attention.
Thanks for looking!

Tom, agree with you on them old advertising knives ,some are made very well . Swedges, long pulls, etc. Seems like not many collect them ,but that’s cool cause it helps keep the price down. So with the vertical USA ,does that make it one made by Imperial?TPK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 7:07 am Hey friends,
