VERY Cool! 8)

All gifts given with sincere intent are great; but, there's something undeniably extra special about a homemade/handmade gift. ::nod::

I received a "knock-your-socks-off" gift from jolly old SS (Secret Santa) a few days ago and, against my wife's objections, I opened it immediately. Like a kid with a new toy, however, I'm selfishly keeping it all to myself......I will post some pictures on Christmas Day. But until then no one else is allowed to play with it...or even look at it :-P

That’s awesome! And you’re right, that’s exactly what it is, same age as me! I wished I’d have held up as good as that whittler.

As I mentioned earlier, I actually received my Secret Santa gift last week, so I've been enjoying it for a little while now. I just can't stop coon fingering this sweet little CUSTOM fixed blade and chicken eyeing the beautiful HANDMADE sheath...both made by Rossr. I'm still blown away by this unbelievable gift and the generosity of the giver.

Here it is...the BEST Secret Santa gift I have EVER received (and the only knife gift I got this year that I didn't buy for myself  ) I'm not sure what type of wood the handle is (Ross couldn't remember...it was an unlabeled piece he had in his shop), but I think it looks great with the Damascus bolster and the custom braided lanyard with leather bead. OAL is just shy of 7" which would make this a "Bird & Trout" by my reckoning. The workmanship is exquisite with dovetailed bolsters and graceful curves which are aesthetically pleasing to the eye and also lend perfect balance and heft in the hand. And the sheath...WOW! The sheath is nothing short of a work of art made by a master craftsman who clearly knows a thing or two about working with leather. ::nod::

This gift is simply AMAZING!!! ::super_happy:: ::groove:: A Christmas Miracle (to me, anyway) ::ds::

And Thanks to all of you on AAPK for being such a great group of people who continue to prove that although we are all different, unique individuals who don't necessarily always agree on everything all the time, we all share a common humanity that allows us to get along and even show compassion and love to otherwise total strangers. I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!! full of Peace, Joy, Health and Love (and lots and lots of knives too!) :D ::handshake::

WOW! What awesome gifts going around 😁👍!

Santa was good to me! I received these two awesome knives and a sweet beer cozy! I can't drink a beer without one, for some reason it just doesn't seem right!😁 Maybe it's the redneck in me ::shrug:: ..

Anyway-- what really cool knives my secret Santa sent me!😁 He checked all the boxes--ebony scales, barehead, easy open, Camillus, plus electrician's knives are another favorite pattern of mine!!!😁😁👍👍 Thanks, Santa!!!
