thanks knifegnome. I found a picture of that one in the Remington section in Sargent's 4th.
Interest seems to be waning significantly in this game. I am going to post one which I think should be quite easy to guess.

You got it, Roger. IXL it is. Not sure why I blocked out the blade stamp, really doesn't give any info as to maker?

I actually says "Civil Service Can", I presume it was Civil Service Canada and the ada is worn off. I have done hours of internet searching trying to find a time period when the Canadian civil service passed out knives to employees for awards of whatever. No success so far.
