Prayers for Ricky.

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayers for Ricky.

Post by bighomer »

Fellers when it rains it pours. I've known this young man all his life, he's 56 now and in intensive care on a vent with C19. Married his childhood sweetheart and the daughter of one of my best buddies. They are part of our church family and just plain good people.
I ask for you to join me in lifting up Ricky and this family in prayer. God bless. ::pray::

Holy Father in Heaven,
Please send your comfort and healing to Ricky. This epidemic of sickness has touched us all. It has hit some harder than others and it has become a very scary thing. Father, please help us to find comfort in you and your Holy Son, Jesus Christ.
Father we believe in you and your Holy Word and know you love us. We know your love passes all understanding from a human stand point. But, we know you love us much greater than we love our own children. Let us all take comfort in knowing you love us and as your children, want only the best for us.
Please give Ricky and all of us strength to carry on.
We ask these things in the holy name of or Lord Jesus Christ.
May your will be done.

bighomer usually posts a few times every day. He has not made a post now for about 30 hours. I hope this does not indicate that his friend Ricky is not doing well.
Covid scares me. The suffering it can cause is something i do not want to experience and i feel for those who are struggling with it.

Roland sorry to say but I have no update. We found out he was sick on face book and there has been nothing posted since. His father in law has evidently done away with his land line and I've not been able to reach him. ::shrug:: I will update when I can, just keep him in you thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

So you cannot visit him. Nobody can visit with him. Right ?
And the nurse or doctor will not tell you anything because you are not 'next of kin', Right ?
And the spouse or parent or adult child who is being informed might be too upset to make phone calls or post on line.
It is a frustrating and anxiety producing situations for the family members and for close friends.
But it must be horrific for the patient: you know you are dying and you cannot have your family around you to feel their love. Instead you are alone with your own fears growing.

Roland you've hit the nail on the head. And don't forget the hippa laws. My wife was a RN and she wouldn't even tell me when a close neighbor and friend was in the hospital.

Very good news. From what i have read he is now unlikely to take a turn for the worse, but recovery might be prolonged.
It is heartening to hear a success story.
