For Sale: Two Queen Made Winchester Knives

Post by kootenay joe »

3 3/8" Wharncliffe Whittler # 30081 made in 1995. Never used, excellent blade action with crisp snaps, no half stops and zero blade play. Waterfall cell handles. The front side secondary shows some black oxidation spots above the height of the liner. This knife was stored in a drawer with a Primble Belknap Stockman with yellow cell handles that off gassed badly. I think this is what tarnished the blade, not the Waterfall handles that are usually quite stable.
It is a very attractive knife. No box.

3 5/8" two spring Double End Jack, aka "Moose" # 2991, made in 1988. Good spring strength and good snaps and zero blade play. Handles are smooth yellow bone. Never used and in original box.
This knife has some heft to it and would ge a great knife to carry and use on your next camping trip.

Price for both: $110 shipped (Canada Post)

I'm curious why does the ebay ad show a different location?

The ebay seller lives in Portland OR. I have been sending him knives to sell for me for at least the last 4 years.
95%+ of knife buyers are in USA. If i list my knives here in Canada the shipping would cost me about $20 per knife. Most people will not bid on a knife with a $20 shipping charge. So i send this well established ebay seller about 100 knives at a time.
Even with splitting the money received with the seller i likely still end up ahead as he gets more bidding than i would because USPS shipping fee is much less than Canada Post shipping.
Does this answer your question ?

edit to add:
I'm not sure what you mean by "different location" ? different from what ?

Roland, some wonderful knives listed. And some seem to be getting good bids. Good luck. ::nod::
