2 Blade Swell End Jack With 2 Early Stamps

Post by scagel »

Yesterday's gun show find. On a table with some other stuff, it was not in this condition when I bought it. Tip and front bolster are iron. Tight, very hard pull and loud as new. I am saying it dates to 1916-17 with the master blade tang hyphened 'NY' with serifs. The secondary blade is arched, hyphened with serifs. Oh, and with some cleaning 'CAMILLUS' came out on the master blade. Pinned bowtie shield and brass liners. I might clean up the bolsters a bit more and carry it around for a while.

Nicely done, good to hear some folks still have some shows in there area.
That’ll make a great carry ,they hold a edge very well . A hundred year old knife ,good to see you resurrect that one .
