The tang stamp on this Primble Mini Trapper claims authentic USA manufacture. I believe it too because not only is the production quality much higher than my (charred) Pacific Rim made Primble, but I paid five times times as much for it.

Good looking Mini Trapper. Yep, the Primble's made in Louisville KY were a lot better quality with better snap.

Speaking of SNAP...this 1991 Queen #9155 Yellow Delrin Mini Trapper has a bear trap snap (like pretty much every Queen/Schatt & Morgan 3 3/8" Mini Trapper I have ever owned).

Well, the Per Diem Mini-Trapper train has slowed down considerably. Nevertheless, just when you think it's come to it's final stop and belched it's last wheezing puff of steam, Mini-T Monkey somehow always manages to pull a new one out of his...monkey trousers...and keep the old thread chug-chuggin' along.

In keeping with my recent focus on the Mini Trapper Timeline Project, I picked up this 1971 Case 6207. Obviously it's not "original" though; it's been re-handled in Walnut Wood. I dig it.

I have just one concern...That looks like a certifiable "collection" to me, jerryd. You're getting dangerously close to losing your amateur accumulator status (and all the perks, privileges and benefits attendant thereunto).

I picked up this old Mini Trapper from michaelwaynesexton on eBay. He had it listed as a "PAVIAN CUTLERY CO ST. PAUL MINN." mini trapper made between 1906-1920. The tang stamp is worn and hard to see clearly, but to me, it looks like "PAVIN" or "PAVIM". A cursory Google search didn't turn up anything useful on any spelling, though, so I'm not sure exactly what I have here. But, the Tortoise handles appear to be celluloid, that much I think I can say for relative certain. Other than the obvious handle shrinkage, and some blade wear/loss, I'd have to say it's in excellent condition for a 100-114 yr old knife...if that's really how old it is. Closed length = 3 5/8"

Nah, I'm too casual to be anything other than an accumulator. If I were a collector, I'd be going for all that old stuff like you.

Today I add this pocket knife to my collection. It's another CASE XX, 6207 SS, 2 blade, Orange County Choppers, mini trapper pocket knife. It came with the tin. It didn't need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is. The pocket knife on the top in the last picture has orange handles, they just appear to be yellow.

Here's an older Bertram Hen & Rooster 212DS Stag Mini Trapper. Not sure what year it was made, but I believe it was made in Germany. Compared to my newer model H&R Mini-T which was made in Spain, this one is much nicer...better stag, better construction, fit and finish, etc. Why is it that the older ones always seem so much better than the modern folders?

Here it is with my Made In Spain H&R 212DS -- They're both very nice knives...but the older one is better in several areas: the closed blades have a lower profile in the frame and there's no exposed tang corner when the blades are closed (unlike most traditional / slipjoint pocket knives), both bolsters are smaller, frame is slimmer with both blades perfectly aligned, the walk & talk is crisper and has half stops, and of course, the stag has way more character.

Did you notice that the shields are oriented differently?

Love the Second Cut Antique Bone, love the single Wharncliffe blade, love the badge shield...definitely one of my personal 107W faves too. (Whenever I see one come up for auction, I always throw in a just-in-case bid...can never have too many of this one. )

Really like that EZO. Great bones and to me EZO is the sweetest edition to a pattern. Fits the hand better on me, the ring finger locks into it. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet group.
