Around here we call them tater onions, multiplying onions, or in eastern Kentucky the call them hill onions. Plant them in the fall and they divide and multiply. We dig them in the early summer. The big ones make 10-11 small sets and the little ones make 2-3 big ones. And they’re not sweet.
