J A Henckels #1936 Canoe, probably made by Boker, & Hen & Rooster Medium Congress by Voss Cutlery, both with "high carbon" steel & stag:

Those stag covers make for two exceptionally good looking knives, Geo. I wonder if one or another might not be sambar stag, tho most likey they are from European Red stag.

No Problem Garry!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 12:45 pm Tom, thanks for your pictures. I enjoy seeing collections as much as individual shots.
I don't know where I should post these following pictures without starting an extra thread so I'll just throw them in here. Hope nobody minds.
These are all my showcase knives. Not all of them are "SUPER" knives but they are all knives I just wish to preserve for whoever. Maybe my children or grandchildren or just for some other future collector.
The last picture is my "Case Family Collection". Still have to get myself a 2001 knife to represent my son Shane. Been thinking
Last picture: Top to bottom:
1972 Sod Buster, 1975 Bearhead Jack, (2001 still MIA), 2003 Congress & 2007 Mini Muskrat
Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Thanks David, glad you can appreciate it. That is damascus forged by Mike Norris, one of the best, he was a welder on nuclear subs back in the day. Definitely understands welding, which is exactly what pattern welded steel is.
