You said it Gary!
Definitely should contact some animal photographers Ryan, Layla could be only a phone call away, from stardom!

Do y'all think she could qualify as a beggar? She was waiting for Miss Joy to give her a plug of a Satsuma orange.

Thanks again for the comments! This dog is an Aussiedor, a hybrid resulting from the cross of a red merle Australian Shepherd and a Chocolate Lab.
In the picture she is looking at her mistress. Miss Joy has a constant companion when they are in the house, she can't move from one room to another without Flossie following her. All this started back in 2010, this is how you apparently develop a close relationship with a dog:
Bonding with Miss Joy
Bonding with Miss Joy
She has been the best dog we've ever had. She is very sensitive to thunder and gunshots (gun shy) which seems to make her life difficult as we have lots of thunderstorms and gunshots are very common out in the country. However she enjoys the after effects of the gun shots, she has become quite a blood trailer. One evening back in 2010, she wasn't a year old yet, I killed a deer in the planted pines below our house. When I shot, the deer ran and did the "flip" as I was watching. I could see the downed deer from the shooting house. I went back to the house, got the dog on the cart and went to the spot where the deer was shot. I stuck her nose to the ground and said, "Find him!" She turned into a blood trailer, immediately.
Finding her 1st deer
Finding her 1st deer
She's getting some age on her now and is slowing down a bit but still love to run and swim.

Philip-- sounds a lot like Layla with the thunderstorms and gun shots, I live 300 yds. from a huge state game farm.. we'll have to keep a close watch on her this weekend coming up, deer season starts Saturday... once again-- an absolutely beautiful "pup"😁 !!

Phil, she’s a beautiful dog. It seems they all learn begging, or least that’s what we humans call it!

Big H, good to hear she is doing well. She will probably need to have pain meds for a while after the vet releases her. Over the recent past Veterinary science has learned a lot about animals and their ability to disguise pain.

Nice grey, Ralph. I hear they don't play well with the usual house pets.
