I couldn't be happier with my copy of the 2020 AAPK offering.
The maker did a great job, even matched the front and back handles perfectly.
The first thing that came to mind when I opened the package was "cowboy." Not sure why"

doglegg wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 2:27 pm The Camillus 70 would be 1946-1947 as it doesn't have bone handles in the 1948 catalogue and it is a no line tang stamp which was only used a little while after production resumed after the war. The Kutmaster, I thought was post war but after some research provoked by eveled (Thanks) it appears to be early war as it has the old style can opener and brass liners. But I'm still looking for information. Thanks Iman. ::handshake::
Thanks you for the info. Great to see and read about.

Hello been busy but I wanted to stop by to share what was in my mailbox early today, a 1996 Bulldog transition knife, it has the retired fighting bulldog stamp and the then newly introduced Standing Bulldog stamp.
Acquired it from AAPK, Rocky's Consulting Services. Thanks canitouchyourknife memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=32877

Very fine, LA. This may be a foolish question. You probably know the answer as do I, but do you know the name of the standing dog?

Received one of my backordered knives yesterday. Had to wait until this morning to take pictures.

Several days ago, earlier in this thread, some of us were talking about mini-microscopes and using them to read tangs stamps and such. I pasted a link to one I had ordered...and it came in. Set up was very easy, albeit, you have to d-load the driver from their site so it will work via the program. The site was legit and reliable. Once set up, I was amazed at the clarity of what I could see and the photo's it took. I viewed everything on my computer monitor, made the adjustments I needed to...and these photos are the result. This may not be for everyone, but being's I mentioned ordering, thought I would provide some feedback pertaining to any 'informed' decisions.

These photos were posted in another thread also.

Congrats, beautiful Blade Forum Wharnie. Great to see.

Sun finally came out after days of rain and had some good light and weather for pics to do the knife justice. Ocoee they called it. As a sucker for rustic line Northwooods I'm partial and biased but love the 92s as well as any, maybe the best. Have several, but this is a whole different animal, snaps different, feels different, blade looks so different. Ocoee doesn't feel like a Talon to me. Amazing to me GEC can make knives on the same frame with such different feel and characteristics. Love what they do to them. Thanks SSK, appreciate it big time.

I got this one in the mail, twice. The full clip blade caught my attention.
First time it looked like this:
A 1973 6347 HP from the bottom of the Bay.

A tipped sheep foot on the N/S framed 6347.

The bone on the mark side was nothing special.

The 2nd time I got it the mail it looked like this:
After a trip up to Michigan to see Jeff.

All decked out in smooth red bone.

I worked the chip out of the sheep foot and all the blades are now ready for action.

I had noticed the pretty new handles on the knives in the Second Life Knives store by member Jeffinn. He turned the sow's ear into a silk purse!
