And Yet Another No Line Tang Stamp

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

And Yet Another No Line Tang Stamp

Post by doglegg »

Fished this one out of the bay. A Camillus, bone handle (makes it earlier than 1948) no line tang stamp model 70 cattle knife. This one is in pretty good shape. It makes my 4th no line Camillus. Thanks for looking. ::handshake::

What a good looking knife. Great pattern and it does look in good shape. A good companion knife!

Floyd, are you trying to corner the market on those "no line" Camillus's? You never struck me as "that kind" of guy.  ::poke::

Thanks Tommy, OC and Wade. Jerry, those no lines have captivated me at the present. Seems all so far have bone handles and I like that too. I'm always surprised when one shows up. Thanks. ::handshake::

First "no-line" 70 I've seen--I thought every one of 'em was a short line tang stamp.

Nice bone to--I've got the imitation stuff on mine, and it shrunk badly.

Thanks Cody, I think they only had bone the first year after the war and then went with the black stuff after that. I was surprised to find it but excited. ::handshake::
