MAHER & GROSH ROUNDUP 2016-2020

William H. Maher and Emil Grosh started the Maher & Grosh Wholesale Cutlery Co. in 1877 with a goal to sell high quality US manufactured cutlery globally. The original business dissolved in 1988, but the brand has since been resurrected.

MAHER & GROSH ROUNDUP 2016-2020

Post by Old Folder »

Page #1 of 2.
It has been a busy and very productive 5 years since the rebirth of Maher & Grosh Cutlery commencing in 2016 by Roger Cunningham and Ken Mundhenk. Roger is an active member here within AAPK, his username is: peanut740.
I have been fortunate enough to obtain all the “New” Maher & Grosh knives issued from 2016 to the current 2020 issues.
You can find out the "Maher & Grosh Story" here: www.maherandgrosh.com/about and order future issues within the site once they are posted.

If you love history and want to explore more of Maher & Grosh history, I suggest you read the April 2016, "Knife Magazine" article, entitled: "The History of Maher & Grosh Cutlery Company An American Institution" by Justin Mundhenk, which happens to be Ken Mundhenk's son. A well researched and implemented full 5 page detailed story of M&G history with great color pictures of historical M&G knives.

I have posted two detailed short stories within aapk in the past concerning Maher & Grosh knives which may be of interest to M&G knife collectors. They can be found at:
Jack London's 1906 Maher & Grosh Knife Order. viewtopic.php?f=109&t=54876
Say Hello To My Little Friend. viewtopic.php?f=109&t=55931

Dan those are some excellent photos of some excellent knives. I have to think you are one of only a very few collectors who have managed to assemble a complete collection of all the modern Maher & Grosh offerings to date. Roger and Ken have had some superb knives produced. ::tu::

Dan

Great photos. We appreciate you and everyone supporting M&G, the Trappers turned out great, we were amazed at how fast they sold out. Roger and I decide what pattern but all the credit goes to Bill and his crew at GEC for their outstanding craftsmanship.

I want to thank Roger for allowing me to post here lol ::ds::

Thank you for posting that wonderful collection Dan. I only have two, the Custer Hunter and the Cane Cutter in Honeybone, but they are right near the top of my collection.

Fortunately, I joined aapk in July 2016. Four months later, Ken & Roger listed their first M&G knives.

Dan, thank you for posting the full line of these modern M & G knives. Very helpful as it is easy to get them 'mixed up'.
